Astrologiesitzung mit Melissa Lin
Melissa Lin aus Malaysia ist unsere aktuelle Gastkünstlerin im Rahmen von AIR_Frankfurt. Sie ist nicht nur eine bildende Künstlerin, sondern auch eine zertifizierte, praktizierende Astrologin. In ihrer Praxis setzt sie sich mit dem Potenzial des Bildes als magische, esoterische Tradition und seiner aktuellen Wiederbelebung in der Subkultur auseinander. Melissa wird experimentelle, 20 minütige Einzelsitzungen am 12., am 13. Dezember und am 14. Dezember im basis Leseraum vornehmen, in denen sie einen Einblick in ihre astrologische Praxis ermöglicht.
Astrology reading with Melissa Lin
Melissa Lin from Malaysia is our current guest artist at basis within the framework of AIR_Frankfurt. Apart from being a visual artist, she is a certified and practising Astrologer. Her practice explores the potential of image as magic, esoteric traditions and its current revival in subculture. Melissa will be sharing experiential 20 minute (Western) Astrology readings on the 12th, the 13th and the 14th of December at the basis reading room, which is a possibility to get an insight in her astrological practice.
IEPA #03 - International Exchange Program for Visual Artists
The three-month IEPA artist grant, a cooperation between basis and NEKaTOENEa, is offered annually. Its aim is to promote exchange in the field of art between the partner regions of Nouvelle-Aquitaine in France and the German Federal State of Hesse. On view in the exhibition are works produced during the residency by the IEPA scholarship holders of 2018 Alizée Armet and Mark Schreiber.
This exchange occurs in the context of the partnership between the German Federal State of Hesse and the French region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine.

IEPA #03 - International Exchange Program for Visual Artists
IEPA ist ein dreimonatiges Arbeitsstipendium für bildende Künstler*innen, das in Kooperation von basis und NEKaTOENEa jährlich ausgeschrieben wird. Ziel ist es, den künstlerischen Austausch zwischen den Partnerregionen Nouvelle-Aquitaine in Frankreich und dem Land Hessen zu fördern. Die Ausstellung zeigt die jeweils vor Ort in Frankfurt und Hendaye entstandenen künstlerischen Arbeiten der IEPA-Stipendiat*innen 2018 Alizée Armet und Mark Schreiber.
Der Austausch erfolgt im Rahmen der Partnerschaft des Landes Hessen und der Region Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
