On Wednesday, August 20 at 6 PM, our current AIR_Frankfurt guest artist Seokwoo Song will talk about the artistic practices and approaches that have developed throughout his ongoing series from the past to the present. His three-month residency in Frankfurt is taking place in cooperation with MMCA Residency Goyang. He will discuss how he stages scenes and approach images through the traces and density revealed within the layered “relationships” embedded in his work.
 
His practice focuses on understanding individuals and their social connections, with a particular interest in how people form relationships with others. He often compose scenes by arranging subjects together, using body language and performance as tools to concretize the structure of the narrative – with photography serving as the primary medium for his work.
