Alexandra, a lecture by Esper Postma
With the lecture Alexandra, Esper Postma will reflect on his exhibition Deed of Gift, which took place in the storage of the van Schoonderbeek Museum in Utrecht. Deed of Gift is a multi-channel sound installation, based on interviews that Postma held with people that were listed as ‘terrorists’ by western governments after the year 2001. Gathering these interviews was an inquiry into a highly sensitive political subject. In his lecture, the artist will elaborate on the course of his research leading up to the exhibition and will reveal what impact it had on his personal life.
