»basis« provids three artist studios including accommodation possibilities for temporary usage up to three month for a work stay free of charge.
»basis« is a German non-profit organization that focusses on the presentation of young international art in exhibitions, lectures and other discursive programs as well as on providing studios and various production facilities for artists and creatives in Frankfurt.
In cooperation with the Academy of Art and Design Offenbach (HfG Offenbach) and the Städelschule Frankfurt, »basis« is reutilizing a former office building in the inner city of Frankfurt for the purpose of providing space for artistic activities.
In this context »basis« provids three artist studios including accommodation possibilities for temporary usage up to three month for a work stay free of charge. The ground floor of the building offers additional space for presentations and displays.
The offer is addressing artists whose work is based in organizations or institutions which are similar to »basis« and aim to promote the development of young international art and cultural production.
In order to encourage a vivid creative exchange for the duration of their stay, all participants are integrated into the cultural environment of »basis« and invited to present their own work.
Additionally, the network consisting of the renowned universities of the Rhein-Main region, as well as the activities resulting from the collaboration with the HfG Offenbach and the Städelschule, offer numerous points of contact.

Start of the programm: June 2010 until beginning 2011 (Rooms are available for 3 month at most.)
